Sarah is a Research Director at Ipsos MORI and leads on research and evaluation in the Education, Children and Families sectors. Sarah specialises in longitudinal research with families. She has been working on the sixth sweep of the Millennium Cohort Study (MCS) and overseen the approaches for engaging with cohort members now they are 14 years old. Sarah has been heavily involved in the development of the young person questionnaire, respondent-facing fieldwork materials, fieldwork protocols and interviewer briefings. The MCS involves non-standard survey elements including cognitive assessments, physical measurements, saliva sampling and activity monitoring. Sarah also directed Ipsos MORI’s involvement in the evaluation of Flying Start which included a longitudinal survey of families of 0-3 year olds and included two assessments from the British Abilities Scales (BAS). Sarah is also currently working on a qualitative study for Great Ormond Street Hospital to develop a patient experience questionnaire for child and young person patients.
