A Better Start is featured in the Summer 2018 Royal College of Midwives magazine, in an article written by two of the Warwick consortium's national evaluation team.

The article gives a general overview of the programme, and the importance of its being "grounded in scientific evidence and research". It goes on to detail the ethical backing of the You and Your Child study, and the engagement with NHS research and development leads across the country. The need for support from local maternity and/or midwifery services in local areas is set out, with information about how individual midwives can assist with the recruitment of study participants. "Support from the maternity services will be key to the success in recruitig women to this study," write the article authors.

Writers Dr Debra Bick and Sarah Beake, both from King's College London, are members of the evaluation team and focus on the recruitment of participants to the Impact and Economic evaluations of A Better Start.
